Who handles the SCSIP paperwork?

We do. Tom and Marie have walked dozens of homeowners through SCSIP applications. We complete the forms, gather contractor documentation, and submit on your behalf. You sign two forms. The county does the rest.

Does applying for financing affect my credit score?

The initial pre-qualification is a soft pull and does not affect your credit score. A hard inquiry only happens if you choose to proceed with the full application after seeing your pre-qualified terms.

What credit score do I need?

Most of our lending partners approve at 640+. The 0% promotional offers typically require 680+. If your score is below 640, we can still explore options. Call Marie and we'll figure it out.

Do you require a deposit?

No. We don't require any deposit whether you finance or pay out of pocket. You pay at completion. That's how it should work.

Can I pay off financing early?

Yes. All of our financing options have zero prepayment penalties. If you come into some money and want to pay it off, do it. You won't be charged extra.

Who are the lending partners?

We work with GreenSky, Service Finance, and EnerBank. All are established home improvement lenders. You deal with them for monthly payments, not us.

The Suffolk County Septic Improvement Program (SCSIP) provides up to $30,000 toward the installation of an I/A OWTS (Innovative/Alternative Onsite Wastewater Treatment System). These nitrogen-reducing systems are required in many wellhead-protection zones and along the south shore. Income limits and property eligibility apply, but most Suffolk homeowners with cesspool failure qualify.
